The week of FUSE was the second part to my trip made to Beijing in the Spring representing Portland fashion with Kerry Yu. The Henan Fashion Association flew to Portland in fall of '09 to discuss business and production development in Portland's local fashion economy. Under Portland Fashion Synergy, I produced Portland's first international runway, FUSE. It was a black tie, fundraiser with proceeds going to scholarship funds for the Art Institute of Portland. FUSE was held in the Kridel Balloom at the Portland Art Museum. FUSE featured both Portland and Chinese designers.
